This is noted for being the first Greek zombie film, and for not being a complete disaster. It is of course low budget, though, interestingly, its many faults are not necessarily budget related. The script is bursting with cliches, the dialogue especially, some of the acting, most of the time is just amateurish, the soundtrack will give you headaches and almost every single attempt at comedy fails.
But it's not without its blood-soaked charms. It is very gory - disembowelments, beheadings, hand-through-belly, karate - and the cast of characters is sympathetic. The script may be full of cliches but it's a tight affair, and the whole film moves along briskly enough.
Similarly bad attempts are considered cult because for what they lack in technique they make up in enthusiasm and love for the genre (and for not being utter rubbish) and this can fit just fine in this category. For hardcore fans only.

Well done low budget zombie film with decent acting and some very well done gore. The ending however is weak and abrupt ruining what could have been a must see.

Greece's first zombie movie. Some less-than-stellar acting and special effects, but all-in-all well done for such a low-budget movie.

Zorba the Zombie! Athens gets undead. Not bad for a B grade zombie flick. Plenty of amature special effects, limbs and heads go flying amidst buckets of blood. Nothing new though, but wait around for the ending, it is rather neat.

I've never thought a greek production could be so realistic. Not boring at all, and very well put together. The Lara Croft moment though was a bit....hollywood.

This is everything Zombieland wasn't.
I can't believe I just watched a Grecian zombie film. It was wonderful to watch how the director started very sloppy. Poor lighting, poor camera work, poor acting, even poor editing. Halfway through the film it woke up. It became something incredible. I have no clue how one could possibly make their digital video look this good.
As a film, it is what one would expect from a zombie film. What was amazing, though, was it was able to do this on a low budget. As I said, this is everything Zombieland wasn't. Stylish, cool, funny, suave and in-your-face awesome with a few zombie-kill scenes that make you cheer at the camera.
