Una clásica antología que reúne a tres de los populares iconos del terror de la época. Sin duda Peter Cushing y Ray Milland destacan bastante al ser el centro de apertura de cada segmento que esta película presenta. El primer segmento es una buena historia de codicia que de pronto es pagado con la muerte. Una interesante historia de crimen. El segundo segmento trae una historia de una niña que perdió a su familia y al ver como es maltratada por su prima hace que uno empatize con ella. Ademas la secuencia que tiene en el tercer acto hace recordar a El Increíble Hombre Menguante y es lo mejor de toda la película. El tercer segmento presenta un elegante y engañoso Donald Pleasence dispuesto a llevar a su amante a la fama con terribles consecuencias.Este ultimo con momentos humorísticos que la hacen casi una comedia, pero con un final fuerte. La película plantea el concepto de que los gatos son seres malvados, pero al ver en la cinta que muchas de las victimas de estos felinos son gente poco agradable, hace que los felinos parezcan mas bien antiheroes. En el primer segmento los gatos atacan a los responsables de la muerte de la mujer que los ha cuidado, en el segundo la prima odiosa sufre un terrible final por parte de la niña que sufrió tanto a maltratado y su gato ha convencido a la niña de vengarse de una manera inhumana, finalmente en el tercer segmento las victimas del felino antagonista son un actor y su amante que planearon la muerte de la esposa de dicho actor para que la amante alcance la fama sin olvidar mencionar que el actor ha separado al minino de sus bebes. Claro que todo acaba cuando los gatos cobran la vida de uno de los protagonistas del film con tal de que la verdad sobre los gatos nunca salga a la luz. De cierta manera los gatos pueden ser engañosos y tienen su lado oscuro lo cual es interesante la forma en que esta película lo representa. No es la antología de terror que cualquiera esperaría,pero es una película que merece reconocimiento por su concepto que a pesar de llegar a lo absurdo, es bastante fresco y original. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 9/10.

My first thought on seeing this film is - I knew cats were evil what-nots and now this proves it! (sorry to cat owners but...yeah). Its a 1970s film with a b-movie feel to it (with the heavy use of incidental music and some lowish quality effects - why do the cats not appear to have blood on them, at least in the first tale?!). It's all a bit ludicrous (or is it?!) but it does have a somewhat sinister feel to it - I wouldn't say it's entirely convincing but either way it's entertaining and quirky I suppose. It probably goes without saying but I'll point it out anyway - there's a lot of miaowing in this film, so if that noise bothers you, then, suffice to say, this is a film to avoid.

I have been looking everywhere for this movie. My aunt rented this years ago and I was teased forever because my name is Angela Blake and so is the character in this movie. It makes you look at cats in a whole new way....
