Matt Brunson Film Frenzy The original ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY is the sort of film where the concepts of sustained shouting and milking a joke past its expiration date are frequently passed off as cutting-edge comedy, but much of the material is indeed very funny. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 10, 2024 Full Review Collin Souter eFilmCritic.com Sequel? Remake? Call it whatever you will. It's still funnier than most movies out there in actual theaters and a nice gift for the fans. Rated: 3.5/4 Jan 26, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

matthias s While the alternate cut offers some extra laughs and absurdity, it falls short compared to the comedic brilliance of its predecessor, "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." The additional scenes may provide novelty, but they lack the cohesive storytelling and punchy humor of the original film. Die-hard fans of Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 News Team may still find moments of amusement, especially with the talented cast's performances, but overall, the movie doesn't quite reach the comedic heights of its predecessor. It's a watchable addition for avid fans seeking more of the beloved characters, but newcomers may want to start with the main feature to experience the true charm and wit that made Ron Burgundy an iconic comedy figure. Just as good as the initial one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing edition to adding the fun Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/21 Full Review Audience Member Dumb lame Ron Burgundy anchorman movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member There is a reason why this subplot was removed from the first movie and that is because it's boring and unfunny although it does have it's moments it's still not worth watching. Give this film a miss and watch something anything else. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
