When presumed-dead billionaire playboy Oliver Queen returns home to Starling City after five years stranded on a remote island in the Pacific, he hides the ways the experience has changed him. As he reconnects with those closest to him, including his sister, Thea, Oliver appears to be the same wealthy, carefree bachelor they've always known. At night, flanked by his devoted friend, Diggle, Oliver uses his secret persona -- that of a vigilante -- to right societal wrongs and transform the city to its former glory.

Allison Keene Collider Season 5 manages to do something positive with its flashbacks, if you can believe it, with a wig for Oliver that doesn't look like it has its own dark powers. A strong start to what feels like it will be a much more grounded season. Rated: 4/5 Oct 4, 2016 Full Review David Hogan hoganreviews.co.uk Season 5 is currently sitting in the middle overall for me, better than the last two seasons easily, but not as good as the first two. Rated: 3/5 Feb 17, 2019 Full Review Conner Schwerdtfeger CinemaBlend The most important accomplishment of the most recent season of Arrow was its return to grounded, personal storytelling similar to that which made the first two seasons such quality viewing. Jul 11, 2018 Full Review Mark Hughes Forbes [This show] got back on track lately and is again delivering solid dramatic adaptations of action-driven superhero stories. Jul 11, 2018 Full Review Lauren Gallaway CBR Arrow went out with a bang tonight in an emotional finale that brought years of storytelling to a close. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/07/24 Full Review julian p This is a great season but I hate a part of the last episode. Action, action is perfect in my experience with ARROW the action will never disappoint and for this season the action is perfect. Acting for all of ARROW is amazing because it's noticeable that the actors & actresses put in a lot of work for this show. The CGI is good although it's not perfect for a show that doesn't involve superpowers this seasons CGI is amazing. Villain, I like Prometheus he was pretty cool I liked him and he's a great villain for a season like this. Writing, through out the Arrowverse the ARROW show has the best writing. Story/Plot, it's great but what I didn't like is that Evelyn betrayed Team Arrow she was cool I liked her. Casting is perfect as usual. Characters, are all amazing as usual and the new characters are kick ass like Curtis & Rene but I kind of liked the Rags dude. Crossover "Invasion" (Supergirl 2x08, The Flash 3x08, Arrow 5x08, Legends of Tomorrow 2x07) was such an underrated crossover but I didn't like that human villain dude. Ending I love the ending for this season but what I didn't like/hated is that Malcolm Merlyn died he's grown to become my top 5 or top 3 Arrowverse characters and it was a pain in the ass he died but I hope he isn't really dead like in S1 he died in front of us but he came back in the next season and then the 3rd one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Wyatt G This is the best villain plot in the entire show. While I technically like season 2 with Deathstroke more, this season has stakes that give consequences forever. It has lasting effects on the series and makes the main protagonist wonder as to what he is doing is right. a Moral story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/10/23 Full Review Freedom T Fantastic, much needed improvement over th last two, and the best season of the whole show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
