Neurosurgeon Rowan Fielding has a problem. When she gets mad, she kills with her mind. Her search for answers sends her to New Orleans, home to her biological family and the spirit Lasher who has haunted them for generations. Ciprien (Sip) Grieve, a devoted agent to the Talamasca, is assigned to protect Rowan. He soon realizes he's in way over his head as secrets are revealed that could tarnish Rowan's family and his role in the Talamasca. As Lasher's seduction of Rowan deepens her role in an ancient prophecy becomes clear. This prophecy culminates in the birth of Lasher. Rowan is determined to use Lasher's powers to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to save her family. This proves to be a challenge as Sip and the Talamasca are also hell-bent on capturing Lasher. The battle to control him ultimately leads back to Donnelaith, the ancient stronghold of the Mayfair family.

Season one was a great opener, very explanatory as it relates to the family history. Season two had some surprising and unexpected twists and turns, definitely kept me on the edge of my seat in some scenes, while others had me a bit bewildered- nevertheless, I hve to rate five stars, the cast did an amazing job, looking forward to season three!

I loved the books, and they still removed some very important figures, which play some important roles in the books. I was at first very excited to see that the series are coming, but they didn´t bother with the first season either, they changed too much. No history explained, which is a no-no in this case. I truly hope that Christopher Rice (late Anne Rice son) will think of a prequel, with the whole history of Mayfair family! And THAT is a very rich universe. <3

Mayfair witches first and second season is the worst tv show I have ever watched. The lead actress cannot act worth a cent(and ive seen her in other things) and she needs to be replaced, I sat through season one and said id never watch it again. When season two came out I decided to give it a chance. Dont do it folks. This show should be cancelled

Reminds me of something on the WB in the 90s. Good as camp, otherwise unwatchable. Terrible casting and writing but fun to laugh at how many times everyone says LASHER per episode.
