Neurosurgeon Rowan Fielding has a problem. When she gets mad, she kills with her mind. Her search for answers sends her to New Orleans, home to her biological family and the spirit Lasher who has haunted them for generations. Ciprien (Sip) Grieve, a devoted agent to the Talamasca, is assigned to protect Rowan. He soon realizes he's in way over his head as secrets are revealed that could tarnish Rowan's family and his role in the Talamasca. As Lasher's seduction of Rowan deepens her role in an ancient prophecy becomes clear. This prophecy culminates in the birth of Lasher. Rowan is determined to use Lasher's powers to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to save her family. This proves to be a challenge as Sip and the Talamasca are also hell-bent on capturing Lasher. The battle to control him ultimately leads back to Donnelaith, the ancient stronghold of the Mayfair family.

Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) The show’s first season lacked for storytelling gravity. The new season doubles down -- crazy twists occur at an ever-growing clip, seemingly outside the narrative’s internal logic. Jan 16, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider We still like watching Daddario, there’s a lot about Mayfair Witches that we find exhausting to watch, because there are too many characters to keep track of and not enough story to service them all. Jan 6, 2025 Full Review Mike Scott Times-Picayune While this new season of Mayfair Witches takes its time gaining traction, it eventually builds to a satisfying crescendo – for those with the patience (and stomach) for it. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 6, 2025 Full Review Sarabeth Pollock What To Watch After setting up a strong foundation in the first season, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches season 2 is sultry, sexy and scary as hell Rated: 5/5 Jan 6, 2025 Full Review Lacy Baugher Paste Magazine Unfortunately, however, Mayfair Witches stumbles badly in its second season, abandoning any cohesive focus on the family at its center and counting on its breakneck pace and seemingly endless bonkers plot twists. Rated: 6.2/10 Jan 3, 2025 Full Review Alex Maidy JoBlo's Movie Network I have no doubt that a third season is still on the way, which hopefully can do away with being beholden to the source material and expanding this story in a new direction. Lou M Incredibly boring and hard to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review R.S. G Season one was a great opener, very explanatory as it relates to the family history. Season two had some surprising and unexpected twists and turns, definitely kept me on the edge of my seat in some scenes, while others had me a bit bewildered- nevertheless, I hve to rate five stars, the cast did an amazing job, looking forward to season three! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/02/25 Full Review Talika L I really like season 1! However, season 2 not so much! Rowan character for me was not developed good at all! This season was disappointing Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/25 Full Review Irma C I loved the books, and they still removed some very important figures, which play some important roles in the books. I was at first very excited to see that the series are coming, but they didn´t bother with the first season either, they changed too much. No history explained, which is a no-no in this case. I truly hope that Christopher Rice (late Anne Rice son) will think of a prequel, with the whole history of Mayfair family! And THAT is a very rich universe. <3 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/13/25 Full Review Bobs appliance R Mayfair witches first and second season is the worst tv show I have ever watched. The lead actress cannot act worth a cent(and ive seen her in other things) and she needs to be replaced, I sat through season one and said id never watch it again. When season two came out I decided to give it a chance. Dont do it folks. This show should be cancelled Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/11/25 Full Review S R Reminds me of something on the WB in the 90s. Good as camp, otherwise unwatchable. Terrible casting and writing but fun to laugh at how many times everyone says LASHER per episode. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
