Jacob B It's the show with such a poor reputation that there aren't a lot of clips of it online. Which means anybody who wants to cut corners can only do so by watching Schaffrillas' videos, which are mostly visuals and utilise minimal audio. "Megamind Rules!" is an improvement over the terrible Doom Syndicate but it still doesn't do an effective job of appealing to younger audiences, most of whom are unlikely to know or care who he is, or the periphery demographic of young adults who helped raise Megamind's profile in 2018 as one of DreamWorks Animation's best one-off films. The animation is bad, the humour is juvenile, the writing is clichéd superhero cartoon crap and the titular character has turned into an unlikeable doofus. The show does fare somewhat better later on when Machiavillain starts having a proper role in the overarching story with Adam Lambert being the MVP but the writing problems don't entirely go away. There's only so many times you can have somebody act blatantly differently than how they were portrayed in earlier work before the excuse of only having one film to work with stops proverbially holding up in court. Not exactly a must-have reason to get Peacock but at least moments where this show becomes more tolerable halfway through show potential for improvement in a second season, unlikely as that is to happen anytime soon thanks to how understandably bitter fans were left by the pilot film. At least the Lambert songs are bangers. ADAM LAMBERT IS ON IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/09/25 Full Review Cakey c I recently rewatched it from start to finish and honestly, I regret hating it as much as I said I did. All my "friends" were hating it and I wanted to be cool like them, or so I thought. I wish I could go back in time and just tell everyone I was hanging wiht to just shut up and deal with it. but I cant. I'm not with those backstabbers anymore and I want to just say, Megamind vs. the doom syndicate and Megamind rules are both fine. Sure, maybe SOME of us aren't the target audience, but when I baby sit my niece and see how she having fun watching and laughing at the jokes, and talk about how her favorites are Chum and Keiko, and like, yeah. I get it. It's not about me. It's about how it makes her feel when she watches it. So, Dreamworks, I'm a believer now. I hope we get more and soon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/06/25 Full Review Hiya m megamind is now on netflix. does this mean we'll get more megamind rules? does anyone know? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/25 Full Review Stanley D It’s slightly better than MM 2, but the animation looks so stiff. They could have at least made them move naturally and not like minecraft emotes Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review Read all reviews
