Steffi K There is, virtually (and I use the term broadly), nothing to like about this series. Even the usually humorous or poignant DreamWorks logo, featuring two of the characters, is devoid of any originality, humor, or even pathos. The characters are - - dare I say it? - - cartoony, with nothing of the original movie to recognize or glom onto, other than their bare existence. They are sad excuses for what passes (or fails) at stereotyping. Megamind sounds like a child rather than an evil genius. Speaking of children, in one episode, Megamind is "asked" a bizarre question on the "entrenet" (his word, not mine) as to whether being handsome is important, to which, he - - equally bizarrely - - responds, "It's the #1 thing!" What is an impressionable kid going to say or do when some bully calls him/her anything but handsome/pretty? I'm not even sure to whom this series is aimed. It can't be kids, because there's nothing cute, cuddly, funny, heroic, believable, etc., about any of the characters. It can't be adults, because the trite dialogue and what passes for plots are lame (and I'm not only being kind with that word, but, also, trying to avoid censorship); I caught myself falling asleep multiple times during the very first episode. Did the Peacock (NBC) network execs see the first episode? And if so, and they still approved it, I want a dozen of whatever they're on or the name of the eye doctor who prescribed their rose-colored glasses. Awful. Just awful. If you watch the trailer for Megamind 2, they were promoting the series in a lame fastion. And I understand that if people may have disagre with my opinion, but just to let you know, this show tries to make it in the modern times (around the Gen-Alpha kids.) Please don't watch this at all and to make things matter worse, Will Ferrell isn't the voice actor of Megamind in this. Since he was the original actor in the 1st movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review Aiden P One of the worst TV Shows Dreamworks has ever made. I’ll Atleast give credit to the theme song. 0.1/10. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Jeffrey S A+. 10/10. I run a daycare and when we do have tv time , Megamind Rules is unanimously the number one choice. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review Audience Member I love this show! It's funny, sweet, exciting, and just a positive and feel-good watch! As an 30-something, it's reminiscent of the superhero/after school cartoons I loved in the 90s. It almost feels nostalgic to watch it even though this franchise didn't exist when I was kid (I didn't even see the 2010 movie until a couple months ago, so it's all new to me!), but it just hits a perfect funny and wholesome vibe that I can enjoy now as an adult, and is still plenty of fun for kids! Highly recommend!! And dying for season 2 to be announced!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
