The protagonists are very unlikable. Also, please Umbrella hire some dang security at your top secret labratories - absolutely no guards at all - literal children keep breaking in repetively - and you do nothing to upgrade security let alone hire even a single guard for after hours... ugh.... I stuck it out but not really sure why... I kept expecting some kind of explanation that tied the two timeliness together more competently-alas... After which it seems to flash backwards and forwards continuously throughout every episode without prompt or warning, forcing you pay complete attention so as not to get lost in its extremely complex storyline. Even then you will find yourself rewinding and rewatching scenes in utter confusion. You WILL begin absolutely loathing the two lead characters (teenage twins) due to their whining, complaining and overall bad attitudes, which don't subside like you hope they will as the series goes on. This brings you to actually start routing for the villains in the show to win and kill them off, which is definitely not the sort of feelings you should be having towards the protagonists as you get deeper into the show. Bad writing and character arcs is evidently the reason for Resident Evil not returning for a second season. I stuck with this show the whole way through, hoping I'd be rewarded for my patience. Alas, I'm left with a bitter taste in my mouth, way to many cliff hangers and a feeling of regret for wasting so many hours waiting for a silver lining that I never even saw a glimpse of.
