Neal Justin Minneapolis Star Tribune The sight of a light saber coming to life has become about as thrilling as turning on a table lamp. Jun 11, 2024 Full Review Proma Khosla IndieWire The performances overall are more dynamic, the writing more engaging than usual for Disney+, which keeps the series from dragging like its predecessors. Rated: B Jun 7, 2024 Full Review Nic Anstett Autostraddle While The Acolyte is mostly able to skirt by given how well its cast sells the emotional context of each scene, the degree of narrative withholding Headland is attempting here threatens to undermine a lot of this otherwise strong character work. Jun 7, 2024 Full Review Caroline McDonald Deseret News (Salt Lake City) I thought the episodes were good, but not mind-blowing. Nov 6, 2024 Full Review Clotilde Chinnici Loud and Clear Reviews The Acolyte makes us question these fixed categories by introducing morally grey and incredibly compelling villains who the audience cannot help but root for by the end of the show. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 14, 2024 Full Review Steve Murray ArtsATL The show stumbles over its stilted dialogue and bogs of exposition. It’s somber nonsense that lacks the offhand poetry or wit that made so many fall in love with George Lucas’ space opera so many years ago. Aug 2, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Max V Good start for a new era of Star Wars. Many people are negative, even after only seeing the trailer (which I think is very strange). It was the same with when episode I came out. Lots of people where negative then (as it was diferent from what came before). The movie and the sequal era has many fans now. It seems people need time to adjust. I have watched it with my daughters and the love the series. I hope Disney sticks to it and makes a second (and third) series. Fantom will grow. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/25 Full Review Eric R It’s bad, real bad. Mistakes were made. They had the money, cannon, and actors to make this great, but the writers misunderstood the assignment. It’s confusing, frustrating, and boring all at the same time. It’s a dumpster fire, plain and simple. Not because it was inclusive, had bad visual effects, or even bad acting really. It’s the trash writing that ruined the whole thing, pedantic, plodding, disjointed, and entirely divorced from the franchise. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review Scott M I don't know what people are talking about. To me the show had a lot of depth and set up a season 2 beautifully. The acting was fine. If you review bombed the show or didn't watch it because of the diverse cast... just ugh. People are really missing out on a deep story. I would have loved to see where this went. It's such a breath of fresh air to have well planned out content that doesnt revolve around the Skywalkers and Death Stars. I feel like they had a solid plan for season 2 and it would have had some great payoffs. What a waste 😭 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review Audience Member Y'all crazy. That finale was one of the greatest things Star wars ever did. Just do a spin-off focusing on the sith for real this time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review August E The absolute worst thing related to Star Wars that’s ever been released, it honestly feels like Disney wants Star Wars fans to hate it. They’ve literally destroyed the lore and the main storyline that George Lucas made and developed over the years, making everything made before this show irrelevant by disproving facts and theory’s from the skywalker saga Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/01/25 Full Review Peter H I wanted to like it, but I couldn’t. Poor story, bad acting, disappointing knowledge of Star Wars. Plot holes, nonsense…This is the worst of Disney Star Wars. While I watched the entire series, I wouldn’t recommend it to a casual fan. But again, I did want this to be good, it just wasn’t. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/29/25 Full Review Read all reviews
