The sight of a light saber coming to life has become about as thrilling as turning on a table lamp. Go to Full Review

The performances overall are more dynamic, the writing more engaging than usual for Disney+, which keeps the series from dragging like its predecessors. Go to Full Review

While The Acolyte is mostly able to skirt by given how well its cast sells the emotional context of each scene, the degree of narrative withholding Headland is attempting here threatens to undermine a lot of this otherwise strong character work. Go to Full Review

I enjoyed The Acolyte, and once it finished, I couldn’t wait to do a complete rewatch to spot the connections, the references, the foreshadowing, and all the details I overlooked the first time around. Go to Full Review

We got incredible, multi-dimensional characters who made us feel all the emotions and whom we’re going to miss. I can’t remember the last time I fell so instantly in love with new characters. I’m so glad The Acolyte exists and that we got to see it. Go to Full Review

Brayden G @Itzbm06 8h why does this show exist it's so bad the creators of this show clearly have never watched a star wars movie See more darthvincor T @RT95517290 21h I was initially not planning to watch this. But the reviews were so bad, I just had to see how bad it was. The start was promising: a fight scene with Carrie Anne Moss. But it all went downhill after that. The dialog was weird in places 'fight me with all your might!'. Then there was a song: The power of one, the power of two, the power of maaaaanyyyyy. Yikes. I almost quit at this point. The actual quiting point was one episode later. There was a mountain stronghold, and somebody knocked over a lantern, and the mountain caught fire. I repeat: the mountain caught fire! I don't recall much of the rest, it was forgetable, I think I managed 3 episodes. After that, I didn't care what happened to any of these characters. No motivation to continue watching. And yes, it is as bad as the reviewers say. And don't take my word for it: the number of seasons they made says it all: 1 season = 1 star. See more Orient A @RT64823069 4d The Acolyte: A Bold New Era for Star Wars The Acolyte is a refreshing departure from the Skywalker Saga, offering a sophisticated look at the High Republic. Its greatest strength lies in its willingness to challenge the status quo, portraying the Jedi not as perfect heroes, but as a complex organization blinded by its own power. The show features some of the best lightsaber choreography in franchise history. Drawing from Wuxia films, the combat is fluid, visceral, and inventive. Episode 5, in particular, sets a new gold standard for Force-driven action. Manny Jacinto as The Stranger is a revelation, delivering a villain who is both terrifying and charismatic. Alongside Lee Jung-jae’s soulful Master Sol, the series provides deep, emotional performances that ground the high-stakes mystery. By exploring the "gray" areas of the Force, The Acolyte expands the lore in exciting ways, proving that Star Wars still has new and daring stories to tell. See more MTP M @Maniac173 4d Contradicts movies already in the franchise, terrible writing, doesn’t make sense at some points. See more Kevin V @HDamask 5d The show that finally broke Disney Star Wars. I hate it for everything it did. See more D H @Gotham 5d It goes to show sometimes I think critics are paid to write a positive review. This series could have been amazing, a new Star Wars franchise, instead we got an overrated, pile of garbage that turned into a complete dumpster fire. This is almost worth watching for the complete waste of potential that was squandered. See more Read all reviews
