For years Patrick Jane has served as an independent consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation, earning a reputation for unusual methods and disregard for protocol -- not to mention his former career as a psychic -- while using his link with the department to hunt Red John, the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter; when a scandal causes the dissolution of the CBI team, he goes to Mexico, until tracked down by the FBI and drawn into their fold to help solve crimes once again with his acute powers of observation; with negotiations he secures jobs there for his associates, Theresa Lisbon and Kimball Cho.

Maysa Hattab PopMatters This old-fashioned framework yields another, related aspect of the series' appeal and its strangeness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/21/23 Full Review Klber A SĂ©rie perfeita, recomendo muito ela!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review phil s This season had to be the apex of the show's entire run. I am in the midst of it right now, so I will be coming back to this review to update it as I go through the episodes. Episode 4 was so powerfully poignant, bringing to a beautiful closure the relationship between Rigsby and his father. I am very familiar with the work of William Forsythe, as Al Capone in the Scarface tv show. He is a consummate actor, all of his work in the show is solid, representing the wrong side of the law - as he is usually cast. Wayne Rigsby pulled himself up out of the mire that was his dad's lifestyle to become an officer of the law and he has done so very successfully. He has attained one of the highest positions in the state's law enforcement system, that of CBI Agent. To see him subject his honor and position to the whims of his father because he so desperately needed his dad's love and admiration, made me squirm. Each time he crossed the line, endangering his position within the police force - I would cringe. But he pulls it off. He navigates a razor's edge in balancing his duties to the force and his devotion to his father. And in the end, the writing staff deals with this relationship expertly, in my opinion. Neither Wayne nor his father is compromised. The father finally tells his son how proud he is of him. That is something every man secretly wants from his father. Then the character is allowed to exit the series with dignity; he dies in his son's arms. The closing scene is so sad. Wayne sitting in the dark, kissing his son and crying... God, it tore my heart out. I've lost so many in my life, my marriage, my daughter to D.I.D., parents, family, associates, friends on the street, and a grandson I'll never know. At times I felt myself in the position of the father, mostly most times I grieved with the character, Wayne Rigsby. This episode for me was garnered five stars. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member So Red John is dead finally. Overall this season offers a very cohesive storyline in linking all the evidences found in previous season and finally leading them to Red John.
