This fast-paced and stunt-filled motor show tests whether cars, both mundane and extraordinary, live up to their manufacturers' claims; the long-running show travels to locations around the world, performing extreme stunts and challenges to see what the featured cars are capable of doing; celebrity guests appear on some episodes to help test the vehicles; things don't always go as planned, though, with broken bones and mechanical mishaps sometimes part of the experiments; Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May hosted the show for more than a decade before giving way to a new crew in 2016, including Chris Harris, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff.

Sean O'Grady Independent (UK) It's the same mixture as before: car porn and some fairly pointless stunts in beautiful locations, expensively shot, and all garnished with some of the most stunning cliches ever conceived by journalistic man. Mar 22, 2019 Full Review Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) This was Top Gear on autopilot and Top Gear on autopilot is exactly what many viewers will have wished for. No longer encumbered by the need to impress anyone, the departing LeBlanc was a sitcom icon reborn. Rated: 4/5 Mar 22, 2019 Full Review David Butcher Radio Times Matt LeBlanc does a perfectly good job as the main host, but with a script that doubles down on stagey banter. The films are as beautifully shot as ever but padded with self-conscious sight gags;. Mar 22, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
