Daniel Hart Ready Steady Cut Apple TV+ has one of the best on-screen British couples in recent times. Rated: 4/5 Jun 23, 2024 Full Review Barbara Ellen Observer (UK) For my taste, Trying meanders too often into the saccharine zone, but it also has heart, charm and a cracking ensemble. Rated: 3/5 May 29, 2024 Full Review Chris Joyce Movies and Munchies (YouTube) Rafe Spall and Esther Smith share amazing chemistry not only with each other, but with the extended cast. With relatable characters and charming scenarios, Trying doesn’t have to try and win our hearts, it did that from episode one. Rated: 4.5/5 May 23, 2024 Full Review Peter Martin ScreenAnarchy Pushing events six years into the future, so that young Princess is now a teenager, is a brilliant move. Scarlett Rayner is quite good at capturing the emotions of a nearly-grown adopted woman. ... An altogether appealing and creatively successful show. Eric N Season 4 of Trying took a big leap forward chronologically - and it was hard to know if that gamble would pay off. It turns out that the decision was a smart one, as it allowed new story arcs to develop for all the characters. Trying is such an underrated, unheralded, emotional and heartwarming show that it's truly a shame more people haven't discovered it. However, for those of us who watch Apple TV+ because they enjoy programs that aren't low budget, slapdash, cookie cutter retreads, Trying is just one more show that makes us thankful this streamer exists. I love this show and, with the numerous open-ended storylines that are left to explore in Season 4, I truly hope that Apple TV+ announces a renewal for Season 5. A stellar show like Trying deserves to live on! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/02/24 Full Review Ettore Maria D One of the most beautiful series of recent times. It touches the heart with always interesting and current topics. The couple of protagonists is exceptional and credible like few others. Absolutely to see!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/29/24 Full Review Chloe N It’s my favourite tv series ever, I’ve rewatched it countless times. It’s so clever, heartwarming and joyful! I just finished episode 8, we need a 5th season, that cliffhanger was 10/10 though! Hope there isn’t such a long wait again 🤞🏻 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/03/24 Full Review sam f It's a show that makes you feel good, what more you want? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/24 Full Review Sukhbir Singh S If you wanna see the good in life and wanna feel happiness, watch this show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review jeff j Season 4 of "Trying" is a delightful continuation of the heartwarming journey of parenthood. The time jump was done FANTASTICALLY. Rafe Spall and Esther Smith shine with their authentic chemistry, bringing both humor and emotion to their roles. The writing remains sharp, blending laughter and heartfelt moments seamlessly. The supporting cast and vibrant visuals add to the show's charm. This season delves deeper into the characters' emotional journeys, especially with Princess trying to find herself and make sense of her life, making it a relatable and uplifting watch. "Trying" continues to be a must-watch series, perfect for anyone looking for a genuine and inspiring story. I just cant recommend the show enough and I cannot wait for Season 5.
