Anna Appel
Anna Appel was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1904, she began performing on Yiddish vaudeville. In 1918, she performed with Morris Schwartz's Yiddish Art Theater in New York. In 1928, she made her English language stage debut in a production of "Poppa." In 1929, she made her screen debut in "Souls in Exile." Appel began her career with a role in "Faithless" (1932). Appel next focused her career on film, appearing in "Symphony of Six Million" (1932). Later in her career, Appel acted in "Green Fields" (1937). Appel passed away in November 1963 at the age of 75.
