Bruce Edwards

Bruce Edwards was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Edwards began his acting career with roles in such films as "Hitler - Dead or Alive" (1942) with Ward Bond, "Bride By Mistake" (1943) with Alan Marshal and the John Garfield spy thriller "Fallen Sparrow" (1943). He also appeared in the Pat O'Brien biopic "The Iron Major" (1943), the Lee Tracy spy picture "Betrayal From the East" (1945) and "Dick Tracy" (1945). His film career continued throughout the forties and the sixties in productions like the western "West of the Pecos" (1945) with Robert Mitchum, "Below the Deadline" (1946) and the mystery "Dangerous Money" (1946) with Sidney Toler. He also appeared in "Queen of the Amazons" (1947), "The Black Widow" (1947) and the dramatic adaptation "The Cool World" (1964) with Hampton Clanton. In the eighties through the nineties, Edwards lent his talents to projects like "Youngblood" with Rob Lowe (1986), "Ultimate Goosebumps" (Fox, 1995) and "Anastasia" (1997) starring Liz Callaway. His credits also expanded to "Bent" (1997) starring Mick Jagger and "Quest for Camelot" with Cary Elwes (1998). Edwards last worked on the Jack Angel animated adventure "The Iron Giant" (1999). Edwards passed away in September 2002 at the age of 88.
