Chip Taylor built up his entertainment career by putting his musical skills to use in the world of Hollywood. Taylor began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the documentary "Monterey Pop" (1969) with Janis Joplin, the Wayne Newton drama "Eighty Steps to Jonah" (1969) and "The Exterminator" (1980). His music also appeared in "Die Heartbreakers" (1982). An an actor as well as a musician, Taylor took on a part in "The Catamount Killing" (1974) and the Paul Le Mat dramatic comedy "Melvin and Howard" (1980). In the eighties and the nineties, Taylor's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Stuart Paul drama "Emanon" (1987), the remake "No Way Out" (1987) with Kevin Costner and the Tom Berenger sports comedy "Major League" (1989). His work was also in the comedy "Encino Man" (1992) with Sean Astin. Taylor's music was also featured in "A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries" (1998), "Inspector Gadget" (1999) with Matthew Broderick and the Cameron Diaz smash hit action picture "Charlie's Angels" (2000). His music was also featured in the Brittany Murphy romantic comedy "Little Black Book" (2004) and the period drama "The Assassination of Richard Nixon" (2004) with Sean Penn. Taylor's music was most recently used in "Strange Magic" (2015) with Alan Cumming.
