Seth MacFarlane gets most of the credit for the quirky animated shows "Family Guy" and "American Dad!"; Mike Judge gets credit for the homespun humor of "King of the Hill." But David Zuckerman has been heavily involved in the writing and development of all three. His first exposure to producing and screenwriting was on the fleeting Eric Idle comedy "Nearly Departed," which ran for all of six episodes in 1989. Zuckerman got his big break four years later on the Will Smith sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" as a writer and producer. After a two-year tour of duty producing "King of the Hill" (and later being re-hired as a consulting producer), Zuckerman left the show to develop and serve as executive producer with Seth MacFarlane on "Family Guy" and, later, "American Dad!." While he wrote a handful of episodes of "American Dad!," Zuckerman was much more creatively involved with "Family Guy" as a writer. Ever an advocate of edgy humor, Zuckerman signed on to produce an American remake of the offbeat Australian comedy series "Wilfred" in 2010, which aired on FX.
