Fernando Birri worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Birri received his start directing independent films, including early work on the Pirucho Gomez comedy "The Flood Area" (1962). Birri also appeared in "Mi Hijo El 'Chei': Un Retrato De Familia De Don Ernesto Guevara" (1985). Later in his career, Birri acted in "Un Señor Muy Viejo con Unas alas Enormes" (1990).
