The other half of TV's most prolific producing duo. Falsey began his career as a writer on the series "The White Shadow," where he met fellow writer and future partner Joshua Brand. In 1982 the two co-wrote and produced the first season of the long-running series "St. Elsewhere" (1982). From there he worked as a supervising producer for Steven Spielberg's "Amazing Stories" series. Along with Brand, he co-wrote and executive produced the Emmy-winning miniseries "A Year in the Life" (1986), which spawned the short-lived series of the same title. The pair has also created the hit series "Northern Exposure," which gave Falsey his second Emmy, the period drama "I'll Fly Away" and the intelligent answer to Aaron Spelling's young adult panoramas, "Going to Extremes."
