John Horton was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Horton worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Another World" (NBC, 1963-1999), "First Monday in October" (1981) and "Guns in the Heather" (1969). He also contributed to "Moment of Truth" (NBC, 1964-66), the William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy box office smash "Star Trek IV" (1986) and "The Coca-Cola Kid" (1985) starring Eric Roberts. In the eighties, Horton devoted his time to various credits, such as the Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis hit "Top Gun" (1986), "Gardens of Stone" (1987) starring James Caan and "Suspect" with Cher (1987). He also worked on "Gangland" (1988). More recently, he tackled roles in the Al Pacino crime drama "Donnie Brasco" (1997) and "Fast Food Nation" (2006) with Catalina Sandino Moreno. Horton most recently acted on "Madam Secretary" (CBS, 2014-).
