Texas-born, Louisiana-raised Kevin Rahm originally set out for a career in law, but when he began dabbling in student productions at Brigham Young University, he found his calling. After completing his missionary work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Switzerland and a French-speaking island off the coast of Africa, the lanky light-haired Rahm returned to school and began training for a theatrical career. In 1994, he was awarded an Irene Ryan scholarship but having landed small roles in films and TV projects, he dropped out and decided to pursue a career full-time. Rahm did the usual struggling actor things, including waiting tables, until 1999 when he began to land a string of high profile roles. After a guest appearance on "Beverly Hills, 90210", he played the recurring role of Dr. Griffith on "Rescue 77" (The WB), a short-lived series about paramedics. Rahm next landed what seemed on paper to be his big break, starring in his own NBC sitcom "Everything's Relative" alongside veterans Jeffrey Tambor and Jill Clayburgh, but only four episodes aired and ratings were anemic. The network was impressed with the actor's work, though, and added him to the cast of its sitcom "Jesse" in the fall. Cast as the doctor who supervises the title character during her nursing studies, Rahm brought a boyish and quirky charm to the role, but the struggling series failed to last for more than the season. In the fall of 2001, Rahm found his niche when he joined the cast of CBS' "Judging Amy", playing the title character's cousin Kyle, a troubled child of privilege struggling and recovering addict who finds his calling as a counselor to troubled youth. After several years as a frequent television guest star, Rahm's next series gig came in 2007 when he joined the cast of "Desperate Housewives" (ABC 2004-2012) as Lee McDermott, one-half of the first gay couple to live on Wisteria Lane. Following that long-running series, Rahm's next job was playing fussbudget lawyer Jack in the short-lived Jaime Pressly sitcom vehicle "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" (Fox 2011-12). In the fifth season of the Emmy-winning drama "Mad Men" (AMC 2007-15), Rahm began a recurring role as Ted Chaough, the new boss of copywriter Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss). During the show's sixth season, Ted became a series regular when his agency Cutler, Gleason and Chaough impulsively merged with Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce and his relationship with Peggy became more complicated. As the acclaimed series ended in 2015, Rahm enjoyed a key supporting role in the dark Ryan Gosling drama "Nightcrawler" (2014) before moving to the short-lived sitcom "Surviving Jack" (Fox 2014) and guest arcs on thriller "Bates Motel" (FX 2013-17) and political drama "Madam Secretary" (CBS 2014- ). Rahm returned to TV as a series regular on the buddy-cop reboot "Lethal Weapon" (Fox 2016- ), playing police captain Brooks Avery.
