Kristine Leahy

Growing up in Chicago during the Bulls' run of six NBA titles in the '90s got Kristine Leahy hooked on sports and competition, which she has parlayed into a successful TV career. After graduating high school she attended Boston University, where she was part of the team that launched BUTV's first sports talk show, which she co-anchored for three years. After earning her journalism degree, Leahy worked as a reporter and host for Boston sports radio station WEEI. Following her stint there, Leahy spent two years working for the Boston Celtics, serving as a host and in-house reporter at the TD Garden and for the team's website. After that, she got a job as the lead sports anchor for Fox Boston. During her year at the station, she covered both a Stanley Cup Final and a Super Bowl. In 2012 Leahy moved to Los Angeles and started working for the CBS-Turner Sports family as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball games, including the annual March Madness basketball tournament. She also got some experience as an anchor and host while contributing to such programs as CBS Sports Network's "Leading Off" and KCAL-TV's pregame show for Los Angeles Dodgers games. During the three years she worked for CBS and Turner, Leahy became the first woman ever to call a horse race in California. In March 2015 she went into more of an entertainment gig when she became the sideline reporter on NBC's competition series "American Ninja Warrior." Later that year she joined Fox Sports after the company lured often-outspoken host Colin Cowherd from rival ESPN. Leahy provided a female counterpart to Cowherd's abrasive personality on "The Herd," a national radio show that was simulcast on FS1. She also hosted the one-hour best-of "Best Thing I Herd," which presented highlights of that day's episode of "The Herd."
