Marianne Verville
Born in Montreal in May of 1994, Marianne Verville was the daughter of Pierre Verville, an actor appeared consistently in Canadian TV series and feature films. Marianne's first role was as the title character in the feature film adaptation "le journal d'Aurélie Laflamme" ("The Journal of Aurélie Laflamme) (2010). Based on a series of French language Young Adult novels by India Desjardins, the story follows teenager Aurélie as she navigates high school and the loss of her father, helped in no small part by her extremely active imagination. Verville's next role was a supporting part in the Canadian television series "Mauvais Karma" ("Bad Karma") (Rádio-Canada 2010-12), about three women trying to renew their friendship. In 2011-12 she was a supporting actor in seasons 4 and 5 of "Tactik" (Téléquébec, 2009-2012), a popular youth serial. After the short film "22h20, Heure de l'Est" ("10:20 EST") (2013), she appeared in the Canadian event series "Le berceau des anges" ("Cradle of the Angels") (Series +, 2015-), which chronicles a 1954 police investigation into child trafficking, while also following the story of a young mother who has just given birth out of wedlock. Verville reprised her Aurélie Laflamme role for the second film in the series, "Aurélie LaFlamme: les pieds sur terre" ("Aurélie Laflamme, Down to Earth") (2015), this time directed by Nicolas Monette, following the character through her final year of high school.
