Archie Twitchell
Archie Twitchell was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Twitchell appeared in such films as "Partners in Crime" (1937), the Dorothy Lamour adventure "Her Jungle Love" (1938) and "Illegal Traffic" (1938). He also appeared in "Tip-Off Girls" (1938) and "King of Chinatown" (1939). His film career continued throughout the thirties and the forties in productions like "Mickey the Kid" (1939), the mystery "Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum" (1940) with Sidney Toler and "Granny Get Your Gun" (1940). He also appeared in the Roy Rogers western "Young Bill Hickok" (1940). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "I Wanted Wings" (1941), the Lash La Rue western "The Daltons' Women" (1950) and "Yes, Sir, Mr. Bones" (1951). He also appeared in the western "The Bounty Hunter" (1954) with Randolph Scott. Twitchell more recently acted in the Edward G Robinson crime adaptation "Illegal" (1955). Twitchell passed away in January 1957 at the age of 51.
