Oren Moverman more than made his rounds in the festival circuit. Since entering the screenwriting game in 1999, the multi-hyphenate brought films to Sundance, Telluride, New York Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, and many more. The 2014 Toronto Film Festival, in fact, saw two scripts penned by Moverman: Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy and father-daughter drama Time Out of Mind, which Moverman also directed. Years after making his creative debut with the intense junkie tale Jesus' Son, Moverman's pictures were marked by that same ambition and intensity of a fresh young voice looking to make his mark on the industry.
