Ron Hughart is a veteran of children's animation, bringing to the table the requisite imagination and sense of childlike wonder to fashion whole new worlds and creatures to delight young audiences. Hughart started off as a storyboard artist for popular cartoons like "Garfield and Friends." This cartoon series featured tales of America's beloved feline Garfield (who spent his days eating lasagna, taking naps, and delivering swift kicks to the behind of Odie the dog), along with other assorted characters (such as Wade the Duck, the inner-tube wearing fowl who was afraid of everything, including fear itself). Hughart rose through the ranks of the animation and art departments of several shows, as layout artist and animation timer, until becoming a well-respected director in his own right. He directed many episodes of "The Ren & Stimpy Show" (following the hijinks of a moronic cat and a manic Chihuahua) in the early '90s. With the turn of the century, Hughart moved on to the animated science fiction series "Futurama" and then "American Dad!," an animated satire about a father juggling family life and misadventures as an enthusiastic but not very competent CIA operative.
