Sigfrit Steiner
Sigfrit Steiner was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Steiner's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the Walo Luond crime picture "Der Fall" (1972), "Die Ploetzliche Einsamkeit des Konrad Steiner" (1976) and "Heinrich" (1976). He also appeared in "Brass Target" (1978) and "Brot und Steine" (1979). His film career continued throughout the seventies and the eighties in productions like "The Frozen Heart" (1979), "Don Quichotte's Kinder" (1981) and "Imperativ" (1982). He also appeared in "Die Schwarze Spinne" (1983) and "Glut" (1983). Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in the Hanna Schygulla drama "Eine Liebe in Deutschland" (1984), "Schwarzer Bube" (1984) and the dramatic adaptation "Duet For One" (1986) with Julie Andrews. He also appeared in the Gerulf Pannach drama "Fatherland" (1988). Steiner was most recently credited in the dramedy "La Nuit de l'eclusier" (1989) with Magali Noel. Steiner passed away in March 1988 at the age of 82.
