Audience Member Except Patrick Tam's refreshing performance, it is basically one of those getting lost & boring films commonly found in post-97 HK Cinema. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Lots of macho posturing and male bonding going on in this Chan Hing Kar-penned boxing drama directed by Patrick Leung. But in spite of the stylishly rendered fight scenes, Born Wild turns out to be something other than the action fest expected. Leung surprisingly makes a point of showing the more sensitive sides of these tough guys by letting them dwell on existential issues and love matters in between fights. Neither the stonefaced Daniel Wu nor the underused Louis Koo manages to reach through very much though. Instead, it's Patrick Tam's tragicomical subordinate character who gets the sympaties here, with a brilliant performance reminiscent of the great late Leslie Cheung. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Daniel Wu plays a fraternal twin, boxer brothers. When his brother was killed during a boxing match unfairly... He decided to come investigate and avenge his brother. Ended up befriending his brother's girlfriend and soulmate. This is a good flick. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
