farah r The Secret is a surprisingly well-crafted thriller, thanks to David Duchovny and Olivia Thirlby's stellar performances. They breathe life into the film's interesting and provocative premise, offering viewers a gripping and entertaining experience. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The title of this film should instead be, 'Crazy Incest Freaky Friday.' David's wife's consciousness is transferred to his 16-year-old daughter - so, it's the wife's mind in the daughter's body. And, boy, does the daughter want to bang David! This is a messed-up movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review adam b Despite the description and cast of this film, this is actually a pseudoscience documentary that has nothing to do with this description (must be a database problem). Quick premise of this doc; ‘a documentary consisting of a series of interviews designed to demonstrate the New Thought claim that everything one wants or needs can be satisfied by believing in an outcome, repeatedly thinking about it, and maintaining positive emotional states to "attract" the desired outcome.' Now, if you're a believer of science, this is an absolute outlandish documentary that doesn't offer any explanation, scientific-wise how these ‘mind waves attract what your thinking about' but it does offer a very descriptive way how to do it and has people, some labeled as ‘metaphysicians', explaining the way cultures do it through prayer, some say genies were invented because of the way Law of Attraction works, ect. It's a philosophical way to look at the world and you know what, I'll do it. I'll do it for a couple months and I'll come back to this review and discuss my findings. As of right now, I cannot recommend this documentary unless your one of those ‘conspiracy theory' types Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Some secrets are best kept untold, especially when they involve a will-they-won't-they between Fox Mulder and his foxy, freaky-fridayed daughter. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Never seen a shittier and more boring documentary in my life. This takes far too long to get to the point, it's frustrating.
