Audience Member I know, 5 stars for The Petty story? But hey, it's not as bad as you all think. It could of been put together a bit better but to me, what made this story was the cast. Petty as himself, well he's not the best actor but he wasn't really that bad. Darrin McGavin, I don't think that man could of put out a bad performance if he tried. Ya just had to love him. Noah Berry Jr. What a great character actor and in this film he proved it again. One of our all time greats. . And then, of course there was Pierre Jalbert. He alone was the only reason this movie caught my attention in the first place...In my honest and unbiased opinion, Pierre Jalbert was one of the key players that kept this film together and of course, me watching. The Director and writer was the late, great Edward J. Lakso. Mr Lakso was also the writer of most of the music. He even preformed some of the songs himself in the film. Talk about practical ways in keeping ones production costs under budget! And honestly, the man's voice was a pleasure to listen to. All and all, if you just overlook the obviouse, that this film was made on a very tight budget, well I honestly think it was quite good. 5 star good? Maybe not for everyone. But "everyone" wasn't asked for their opinion here. I was. And in MY opinion...yes...5 stars! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
