Audience Member Gemma è una donna anziana rimasta vedova in seguito alla scomparsa del marito. A tal proposito si fa aiutare da una badante rumena, Angela, che da poco è arrivata in Italia lasciando la sua famiglia in Romania. Tra le due nasce una forte amicizia e complicità tanto che, nel momento in cui Angela viene a sapere della scomparsa del marito, Gemma si offre di accompagnarla nel suo paese di origine. Dalle note di regia si evidenzia come la storia sia autobiografica, nata dal particolare rapporto che si è creato tra la nonna del regista e la sua badante. A grumpy, older Italian woman is being cared for by a young and full-of-life Romanian girl on a temporary visa. Despite a few moments of anguish from both the heroines, the relationship eventually evolves to one of a mother-daughter nature and sends them both on a path of self-discovery. The path is neither dramatic nor poignant, but it's got a few notable moments that instead of the triteness we usually see in American dramas of this sort, can be classified into the 'life's lessons' category.
