Audience Member While this movie isn't a total waste of time, I did find it to be a bit blatant in it's overall misogyny, which brings my rating down by a star. A not-so-terrible script and adequate acting are wasted by slow pacing, weak special effects and completely needless overt sexuality. We get it, filmmakers.. you had no real faith in the substance of your film, so you felt you had to tack on endless shots of female flesh in order to give us viewers what you think we look for first and foremost in a horror film. Try again. And when you show every female character get graphically butchered for prolonged periods of time, yet you shy away from seeing any of the blood and gore in the males' quick and painless deaths, one has to question your motives as a human being in general, and wonder what kind of deep seated woman-hating issues you have bottled up inside of you like a shaken Dr. Pepper. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow, with a lot of pointless scenes. The premise is alright but the execution isn't too great. The characters could of been better, and the ending needed a lot of work. Slightly decent, mostly bad. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow is all I can say in regards to Blood Relic. I love B horror, I think Billy Drago has copious amounts of unintentional comedy value, but this was just a mess. It was simply too boring. I fell victim to some interesting box art with an empty shell of a film inside. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I like to call this film every horror movie cliche ever. It was borderline pornographic, you see every female characters boobs at some point and everyone seems to be wanted to have sex in a creepy airport hanger. The most hilarious part was the death scenes though. One involved a locked door that made sense at all. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Looked like a low budget movie. Looked really fake. The movie had a good story, but the movie looked too fake. I wish it was better. And it was nasty with all those tits, gosh, I just kept fast forwarding. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Starring bad movie actors extraordinare Billy Drago and sexy Debbie Rochon I was bound to like this movie. Debbie first caught caught the eye of the low budget horror community back in the early 80's and since then she has starred in probably over 80 low-budget horror flicks including many Troma films such as Tromeo and Juliet and even one of my all time worst movies ever made Killjoy 2. She first caught mine during her bath tub scene in Dead and Rotting. I guess a movie staring Debbie will either be a hit or miss due to the scripts she choses. I won't even begin with Billy Drago's films. Most of them aren't any good, but at least with Blood Relic we get a competent slasher flick with a killer who has a cool mask in an intriguing story. Well, there is nothing real original with this as it follows a bunch of partying teens who get killed off one-by-one by a masked killer. It's a generic slasher flick like I've just mentioned. The teens break into their work place to party lol. Hide and Go Shriek and My Bloody Valentine follow a similar script but BR doesn't reach the greatness of those slasher flicks. I guess it was the modern feel that made Blood Relic somewhat different and the idea of having the killings revolve around a mysterious relic instead of a pissed off evil human that is hell bent on revenge and death was different enough for me.
