Audience Member now i decided to watch this movie with low expectations, and i was right to assume that this movie would be absolutely pure hot garbage. this movie gave me an std, that's how bad it was! the graphics, the acting, the camera angles!!! in the words of flight " what you doing hold the angles right 🐬🐬🐬" they did the listen to flight. but i think the worse thing about this movie was the lead actress' forehead, my god was that thing huge!! it distracted me the whole movie, but not enough i was steal able to pay attention to the disgusting neck hairs on the lead actor. the movie is so bad i don't even know the characters names!! moral of the story, don't be white Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Right off the bat, it was obvious this is amature hour. The acting was atrocious, like first semester acting school. The poor lighting makes it seem even more amature. The anglea talking on the lawn had me laughing out loud, the dialogue silly and lame. My wife thought I was watching a comedy. Hokey, lame, boring, and unnecessary Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Like the other reviewer, my intuition was that this is a poorly made fundamentalist propaganda movie. The acting was horrible. The writing was awful. The plot was transparently biased. Watch it for a good laugh, but don't expect good art. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved every minute of this movie. Itts a bit scary but it gives you an iinsight into the unseen spiritual forces that coincide with us in the natural world. This might be a low budget movie but its got a high price message. Please make another. Well done...!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member First, I would like to know why the movie's title is "Divination, " when there really isn't any divination in the movie. In one scene, there is a brief shot of tarot cards, but no one uses them. There is plenty of sorcery in the movie however. Ironically, the most engrossing scene in this otherwise "sort of Christian" movie is one of a sorceress (Dee) laying out a purple cloth and performing a ritual. Wordless, and set to a kind of trip hop music that itself is spellbinding, the scene is everything that the rest of the movie should be, but isn't. This movie had a lot of potential. What would be more fun to produce than a flick about angels and demons? Unfortunately, no one had any imagination here. The demons look, speak, and act like every generic "bad guy" you've ever seen in every B-rate action flick. I was just waiting for one of them to break out into a generic Eastern European accent for no reason. The angels were a tad more fleshed-out. There were allusions to previous battles back in Bible times, and apparently the angels move up or down in rank according to how well they perform in a given battle. If you perform really well, you get to move into some inner circle, where apparently there is greater intimacy with God. I appreciated that at least there was some effort on the writer's part to explain what an angel's motivation might be. (It would have been interesting to see some kind of incentive system for the demons as well). There was some mention of angels working on "The Surface" (Earth. I guess?), and I got the impression that "Surface Work" was kind of their version of "grunt work." No one ever explained what the alternative(s) to working on "The Surface" might be. There was a lot about this movie that didn't make any sense. Why the angels perch on the lawn outside a house when they can easily move through walls is beyond me. Why can't they get attached to people? What difference does it make if they do? Why do they have giant bird wings? I could go on. In general, trying to follow this movie made me really uncomfortable. The writing was awkward and uninteresting. There was no humor in it at all. I couldn't have cared less about the characters. It almost kind of made me want to cheer for the bad guys. (And gals! I did love finding out that "The Commander" was Divination herself). One last thought: It might have been interesting and fun if the angels saw humans differently than humans see humans. (Because who knows how they see us, right? Maybe in 2D even!). I would have enjoyed a scene being shot from an angel's perspective. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Not listed as a Christian movie on Netflix, about 15 min into the movie you realize yeah this has all the hallmarks of a bad Christian movie. That being said they did do some decent special effects, other than that, horrible. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
