On a peacekeeping mission in the Middle East, a Dutch military convoy is forced to split up in the middle of desolate mountains as one of the vehicles suddenly slides off the road. Three young soldiers, Erik, Roy and Thomas, are commanded to stay behind to guard the vehicle. Frightened by some rustling in the bushes, Thomas accidentally shoots and kills a goat. The rightful owner presents himself, 14-year-old goatherd Khalil, who is furious at the soldiers and refuses to leave the site. Disastrous events now begin to pile up. When a local caravan ambushes them and steals their water and food supply, the three soldiers are forced to follow Khalil into hostile territory in a desperate search for water. Slowly, paranoia begins to disseminate. Where is Khalil leading them and can they really trust him?

Dec 21, 2021 Full Review Carson Timar Clapper While Do Not Hesitate might not be revolutionary, it clearly is one of the better war texts to come this year and is effective with nearly everything it sets out to do. Feb 12, 2022 Full Review Allan Hunter Screen International Shariff Korver's simple, slow-burning tale may cover familiar ground, but it is crafted with a stripped-down sincerity that makes for an effective drama. Dec 6, 2021 Full Review Nora Lee Mandel Maven's Nest Fraught, taut story sets young soldiers into a Middle East desert. Fable-like, but morality tale is well-embodied, well-supported by the production design, and tense score.
