Sweet but ditzy Dulcy Ward (Ann Sothern) is instantly taken with inventor Gordon Daly (Ian Hunter), and she's determined to help him sell his prototype for an airplane engine. As luck would have it, Roger Forbes (Roland Young), the father of her brother's fiancée, might be in the market for such an item. Dulcy invites Roger and his family for a getaway in the mountains, where she'll spring her sales pitch. Unfortunately, her scheme ends up jeopardizing her brother's marriage.

George Orwell Time and Tide In the case of Dulcy a very low farce is posing as a light comedy, and it would be a much better film if the occasional attempts at probability were dropped and the custard pies thrown physically and not merely on the astral plane.
