simon d I'm a big fan and subscriber to Viz and the Fat Slags are long standing classics of this splendid magazine. I have yet to see any of the Viz comic strips successfully make it on screen after several attempts and, despite a star-studded cast, this is another failure. I don't know for sure but I would bet that the writers of the comic didn't have a lot to do with this film, especially not the story or the script, which is a shame. It's also a shame that the slags were not Geordies, I suppose deliberately to give the film a chance outside of the UK. It was never going to suceed in or outside of the UK so why not try to make it a bit authentic. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Quite possibly the worst mainstream, decently budgeted film Ive ever seen, a total car crash from start to finish. Fiona Allen (usually quite funny) is jaw dropingly bad. Alongside RANCID ALUMINIUM, this has to be classed as a film thats left me mentally scarred. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I am still having a bloody 'ard time figuring out whether this is the worst film of all time or the best. Everything is so over the top, it has to be one of those "so bad it's good" movies, right? That's what the creators were going for, right?! Well if they were, they succeeded on many levels. But if all of the awkwardly unfunny humor, annoying accents, and irrelevant subplots were accidental, which I'm pretty sure they were, this movie is pure garbage. The people behind this film seem to think that if you take two fat leads who are oblivious to everything going on around them, you automatically have comedy gold. Sorry, Ed Bye and company, that's just not how it works. Seriously, unless you are hanging out with friends or are completely wasted, do not watch this film. You will hate every single second of it. [insert unnecessary fart noise and plastic boob flash here.] Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I just wrote a ridiculously long review for this totally absurdly horrendous film and I lost it by accidentally clicking on another page. All I have to say is that this short film feels like a 3 hour fart-fest with absolutely no laughs and no substance. It could be considered one of the finest pieces of anti-humor, but for me it is without a doubt my least favorite film of all time. It's bewildering how this even got past the writing stage... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Having seen two Larry the Cable Guy movies, I'm more used to the more sophisticated fart and body mass jokes. If you can call them jokes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member One or two chuckles (mostly from the northern boyfriends whose accents are so thick you can't understand them). But mostly just two actresses running around in fat suits making fart and poop jokes. The fact that so many famous people were involved in this mess is bewildering (did they even read the script?). Not the worst movie ever but right up there. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
