The script feels disjointed, resembling a list of ideas rather than a coherent narrative. Cameron Monaghan delivers a strong performance, as he often does, but the rest of the cast seems underwhelming, almost as if they were randomly selected without any prior acting experience. Overall, the film lacks cohesion, and the writing is quite rough, leaving me disengaged from the story. It falls short compared to many contemporary films and feels rather uninspired. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you're looking for something to pass the time; it’s more suited for streaming rather than a movie ticket purchase. Jamie Marks Is Dead is better than a lot of tripe that's out there because it takes time to develop the characters and to form believable connections between them. The theme is not original but still human. The movie is too long, the piano chords are annoying, and the melodrama is a bit over the top.
