Audience Member This and “Billy the Kid Versus Dracula” were part of a double feature. Makes sense both films were terrible considering they were both directed by William Beaudine. This one I had a much harder time paying attention to, as it was dragging on for far too long. From what I bothered to remember though, Frankenstein’s GRANDDAUGHTER, not daughter, is trying to replicate Frankensteins monster. Working with her is her brother Rudolph. Jesse James joins with the wild bunch to steal 100 g’s but is betrayed by one of the wild bunch members. The one in blue told the Marshal about Jesse being part of the robbery, so they ambush the whole bunch. Jesse and his friend Hank escape, while most of the wild bunch minus the blue guy die. Hank got wounded and is hurt pretty bad, so looking for a refuge he comes across a little camp and chills with the random family. Juanita (the daughter) says Jesse needs to get him to a doctor asap, and surprise surprise him they’re going to the frankensteins. The girl Frankenstein still believes the only reason her experiment is failing, is because the people she is choosing are weak. Seeing this mountain of a man named Hank, she takes him in. There’s some boring stuff about a love triangle involving Jesse, Juanita, and Misses Frankenstein but it’s not all that important. Girl Frankenstein after being rejected, sends old Jesse out to get some prescription for the gun wound. This gives her all the time she needs to put the artificial brain in, and do the experiment AGAIN. Meanwhile Jesse is clueless and almost turns himself in by complete accident. He ends up killing the blue guy from the wild bunch, who was working with the marshal. I guess he never did get that reward. Jesse is headed back now. Back in the lab, Juanita (not doing Jack, by the way) watches as they bring Hank to life. Rudolph tries to save Hank from being a mindless slave forever, but unfortunately Miss Frankenstein realizes the Digitalis in the vile was actually poison. Being pissed that all her other attempts were thwarted by her own brother, she kills him. Then gets Hank to stand up, making her his master. Juanita goes to the marshal. On the way there, Jesse and Juanita bump into each other and talk about what’s happened. She tells him not to go back, of course Jesse does the opposite. When in the missionary the frankensteins call home, he confronts her but Hank is there to stop him from doing anything, and she straps him down. I don’t know why she didn’t just kill Jesse, she used her last artificial brain on Hank. Unless she was willing to transfer them, but I don’t know. Juanita and the marshal show up, Hank knocks out the marshal and throws him in a separate room. Miss Frankenstein was like “kill Juanita, kill, KILL” but Hank thought she was pretty so chose not to. Instead killing Miss Frankenstein. Then, without showing Juanita free him Jesse is out of the straps and tries talking to Hank. Unfortunately they get into an altercation. Jesse drops his gun, and Juanita picks it up. She shoots Hank and that’s the end of that. They bury Hank in the front of the place, and it said something like “Hank […] He was Jesse James friend”. I thought that was kind of cool to be fair. Juanita said everyone was sure to return now that the Frankenstein’s were dead. She wanted Jesse to stay, but he said “nah” and rode his horse away along with the marshal who didn’t die. This is one double feature I’m glad is over. To be honest with you, I’d love to see this films restored in 4K by Arrow video or some other boutique label. That would be dope, especially considering the other one has John Carradine in it. I give this 1/5 stars. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Audience Member 2 1/2 stars is all I can muster on this one and the only reason I gave you that many was it was just so stupid. It was funny to watch James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas, July 18, 2023. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review Audience Member You gotta love this movie if only for the title and the concept. It has the usual cowboy/Mexican girl romance sub-plot,, and the devious evil scientists. While the whole movie is pretty much known from the title itself, it's not everyone that can say they seen Jesse James meets Frankensteins daughter. Just some great fun. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member ***Due to the recent RT changes that have basically ruined my past reviews, I am mostly only giving a rating rather than a full review.*** Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Don't watch unless you're a really big Frankenstein fan who must see all related movies...or, if you're a really big western fan, like me, and you basically watch any western themed movie you find. Either way, there are many better things to do with your time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member While westerns and sci-fi crossovers are usually interesting, this one ends up feeling dull and slow- though still entertaining enough to sit through. The characters aren't as interesting as one might think, and the plot is generic. Watchable, but not memorable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
