While she has done a few typical heroine roles in Shakti Samanta's films ("Kashmir Ki Kali", "An Evening In Paris" etc), her most serious roles in Samanta's films have been in "Aradhana" and "Amar Prem". Asha Parekh performs in this film really well and shows restraint in the emotional scenes.Rajesh Khanna also lends a helping hand in providing a good performance. The songs are all exquisite, and very meaningful and all rendered by the evergreen Kishore Kumar.
