Peter M. Nichols New York Times In its look and feel, the film resembles action adventures of the 40's and 50's, starring perhaps Gary Cooper. JOSHUA D It's a good movie, give it a chance. Enjoy it very much, would like to see a Blu Ray release of this movie. Roteiro e enredo o simples bem feitos. Vale apena assistir? Sim, mesmo hoje. Nota: 8,75 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/14/23 Full Review eebjjf j Stunning performance by JCVD. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review steve d One of JCVD's slower films but it remains entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review brendan n Imagine someone like Nicolas Cage, Bruce Willis or Kurt Russell in the lead, now would you have the same issue as Van Damme being in the lead? I feel this is what happened on release. Van Damme in the lead tended to avoid the audience this film was actually targeted to. Legionnaire is a good film, not a great film, just good. I'm actually quite shocked at the low scores here. The film is tame for a Van Damme film, and I was shocked when I viewed it on video all these years ago. The film has a decent and coherent plot, except the villains tracking him down. The film has a large scope and the film feels like a grand epic in design. It's a shame this was ignored or abandoned by the studio, or producers. This wasn't a Van Damme film and that's why everybody ignores, or dismisses it. 03/01/2020 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A surprisingly Competent and compelling War movie, Van Damme puts in an excellent performance.
