Synopsis
Mike Canelli (George Raft), an ordinary American, is drawn into a world of international intrigue when he gets mistaken for Charles Stark, a detective hired to find a fortune in francs stolen during the war. Charles, an old friend of Mike's, had mentioned that he was traveling to Saudi Arabia to find a man with one missing thumb. When Mike gets to Algiers, he hears about such a person. However, he is soon framed for murder, and realizes that finding the money is the only way he'll survive.
