Argyle A quirky yet sweet film well worth a watch...its worth your time Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Al O Great. Totally absorbing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/01/23 Full Review Clive D Absolutely charming, very subtle acting Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review J R This film peels back raw emotions and thoughts: middle age, depression, allegory for being lost and amnesia, the beauty of a simple life, the sea, Greece, home cooked food, love, fear. The woman at the centre is highly vulnerable and her sponsor fearsome - will he hurt her? Will she remember who she really is? Each scene is a layer stripped down to the inevitable denouement. Acting is natural and the characters more than realistic. You will feel like you are actually there at the most fragile and momentous times in life.
