An inspirational film about a brief but intense friendship between Jim Whittaker and Robert Kennedy that resulted from a daring climb in 1965. Fast forward 50 years and the sons of the two men are planning a similar ascent in honor of their fathers. Bob Whittaker is the main focus of the film and makes for an unlikely but determined mountaineer. His story as a successful and fun-loving band manager (Mudhoney, R.E.M., Yeah Yeah Yeahs among others) adds humor and poignancy to the film.
