Ricky Gervais left his best quality (sharp commentary on elitists and the entertainment industry) completely behind to become the next aged has-been comedy star that repeats the same spiel of seemingly reading news headlines on social issues and blurting out lazy jokes that are safe enough to play on Netflix but edgy enough that it will trigger a media reaction. This will lead him to his second and last trick: being deeply hurt that whenever he says something, other people have the right to answer him (and calling it cancel-culture). I must say I'm tired of old men standing in front of thousands and being streamed to millions on Netflix lamenting on how they can't say this and that while saying this and that and being paid handsomely for it.

Jesus, I thought this man could never fail but this set is NOT worthy of a special. It seems like comedians are either getting lazier or forcing themselves to push out new material way too fast. This was more like an open-mic night where he is working out new material. I feel like he s going too far into the hate of the world and forgetting to be funny about it. He is more just spewing out what he hates about life and the world. He goes from bit to bit, being controversial, but doesn't add in funny moments within those bits. It's an hour and I couldn't finish it. 10 steps down from Supernature. Comedians need to slow down and remember we like them for being funny and THAT'S IT.
