I was very surprised when I realized how well this film has aged. It plays with the usual clichés of the genre in a humorous and largely intelligent way. Still worth watching and a pleasure even in the 21st century.

Realizing I actually never saw it in its entirety I threw Romancing on last night and boy was I disapointed. Mostly it's the ill-concieved and poorly stitched together script that is to blame - even the characters themselves seem to forget where they're going from time to time - but Zemeckis seems equally confused by the mayhem.
