Septic Man is nowhere near a fantastic film. It's still far better than The Toxic Avenger and at least offers some social commentary alongside the literal poop.

I threw this on expecting it to be pretty weak but maybe entertaining, sort of bad funny. Instead it was completely mesmerizing and so unusual, yet interesting. I couldn't stop watching it, it just got more and more strange - but in a good way. I've never seen characters or situations like what was in this movie and I've seen a ton of movies (I'm 41). This is a movie that is almost certainly under everyone's radar but it is one of those ones that are an absolute must-see, just because it's so interestingly unusual.

It tries to pay homage to Toxic Avenger, but it's too tame, dull and uneventful to be at all memorable. Molly Dunsworth was in it for a minute though, that was a nice surprise...

This fine film is pretty fantastically disgusting, but it needed more than just barf and poop to make it a decent horror film. The opening scene was a short piece of cinematic bliss, but after that, it failed with plot canyons and awkward time lapses. If you must watch this, watch it with sick friends.

Its storyline seems WAY more ambitiously executed than it actually is. Makes so little sense, that the confusion is the only thing keeping you from knowing how ridiculously unrealistic the plot is. It does however execute a few scenes worth keeping in the memory bank...but not worth talking about more than once. It really does feel like The Toxic Avenger without "The Avenger". It's unfortunate, because you can evidently see the talent behind the camera and crew.

A disgusting entry in to the geek porn canon about a septic man who is transformed in to rotting sewage and then does battle with two psychotic killers. A lame and gross riff on The Toxic Avenger.
