Critics Consensus

The schlock factor for Sharknado 2: The Second One is not as entertaining as its predecessor's, though fans of the brand will likely enjoy it.

kevin g Nov 29 this movie is ABSOLUTELY amazing the way that fin rode that shark onto the top of the empire state building was so badass! and then when he perfectly split the shark in half I could feel tears forming at this absolutely beautiful scene. towards the end of the movie he gets vengeance for his "ex-wife" by killing the shark that ate her arm, after he did that he took her hand out of the sharks mouth and dropped the insane line reading "we don't need this anymore" then followed up with "but we will need this" as he took the ring off and tossed the hand aside as he proposed to her again. truly a eyewatering scene. however... there was one downside in this movie, which was the absolutely terrible character of Skye. first off, she could NOT take a hint towards fin not liking her but kept being annoyingly persistent and wouldn't stop trying to make a move. this character should have not replaced my girl nova. See more Fart S Aug 7 Sadly, this film can't quite live up to the high standard set by the first entry of the saga. While the original film was taking its creative liberties, the sequel is hyper-fixated on a realistic and fully logical approach to storytelling. Therefore, I think real enjoyers of good cinema should stick to Sharknado 1, while people who seek the information should watch a real documentary about this peculiar weather phenomenon. Rated TV-14 for Strong Coarse Language (L) and Intense Violence (V)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more William M Dec 29 Most of the movie was terrible. The camera work was better, but it didn’t have the wacky charm of the first one. SharkNado without a murder every 5 minutes makes no charm. But, after the blue explosion, the Avengers-like fight was charming, and so was the plane and the Mets game. No Nova means it sucked, she was cool, same with Matt, Baz, and George. Skye was lame. See more Nick C Dec 29 Honestly it just was a downgrade from the first other than the camera quality if you want to watch a bad movie watch the first. See more Nils V Dec 29 Worse than the first one. Lost the charm. See more Read all reviews
