Roy S Brilliant and stimulating. Shame about the missing jigsaw piece :( Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review Michele L This doc is fascinating and, at times, humorous. Of course I'd heard of Wirecard and I keep up on current events and newsworthy stories. There's nothing I like better than a juicy financial scandal. So from the moment I first started watching this doc, I have been asking myself "Where the heck was I when this story broke?" I still have no idea. When I began the doc, I was prepared to be taken back to 2005 or 2012. Was I ever shocked to find out that it was only a few years ago, around 2021, that the scandal broke and Wirecard was brought down! Regardless of my apparent "head in the sand ostrich moment," this is a thoroughly fun and engrossing study of how "financial gangsters" operate and prosper under the noses of people in the world of finance and journalists who usually catch on quickly to a juicy financial scandal. And the funny thing is, these supposed "financial genius thugs" were not even particularly smart or clever about it all. I won't say more, because i don't want to ruin it for other viewers with spoilers. That is how good this doc is. Rollicking good fun! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Robert E A totally rivetting story of how a journalist exposed the breathtaking fraud of what appeared to be a top flight international financial company. As a result of his investigations, the boss of the company will shortly come up for trial in Germany; meanwhile the chief operating officer is now a fugitive, possibly in Russia.
