William R. Weaver Motion Picture Herald (Exhibitors Herald) [Jane Powell's] voice is exceptionally well-trained, her delivery excellent, and she has histrionic ability. Nov 23, 2020 Full Review P.S. Harrison Harrison's Reports Although the story is rather thin, it should please most audiences, for it has both popular and classical music, the adolescent players are appealing, and there is considerable comedy as well as youthful romance. Nov 20, 2020 Full Review Don Q. Cine-Mundial The film has... originality and a very pleasant freshness. [Full review in Spanish] Sep 17, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Steve D As thin as can possibly be imagined. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Denny S Jane Powell's first movie is another wartime morale builder. Bergen and McCarthy appear and get into it with W.C. Fields a bit, but the exchange is a far cry from their earlier, sparkling radio appearances together. Fields juggles a bit (he was a world class juggler at one time). While juggling, he remarks "this used to be my racket". He misses a ball and walks away muttering "it used to be my racket, but not anymore". Kind of sad. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
