Joshua Tyler CinemaBlend A willingness to color outside the norm of the Stargate universe is what makes this so much better than the usual Stargate SG-1 episode. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 30, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

David M Goofy lines, B minus acting, and a movie that doesn’t know where it wants to fit… means avoid this movie at all cost. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review David D There are some real whiners on here. This movie was brilliant and sad at the same time. Imagine a total disaster happening where your whole life is upset by a timeline change and the people in charge won't even let you speak to your friends without monitoring. I know everyone is sad that Stargate SG-1 is gone but giving a great piece of sci-fi like this movie a 1? 2? 3? I mean give me a break. Who would want to spend another nickel on making this sort of stuff for fans again if they don't appreciate it? Sheesh. Just stop the whining already. Keep your heads up and encourage them to make more. <3 Luv to all the fans that make great movies like this possible. <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/18/24 Full Review Antoine D Huge disappointment for me. [CONTAINS SPOILERS, though you won't miss much] Let's start with the few good points: - Baal's plan is, technically, marvelous. It was a pleasure to see him back, just as arrogant, smart and charming as ever. - and the boat scene was correct But for the rest, it's a disaster: - Overall SG-1 barely does anything to save the day. most of the time we see the team is when they try to convince the American government of their story and then are told they can't do anything about it. - Teal'c and O'neil have become side-characters. Even Valla (controlled by Quetesh) has more impact! - SG-1 stays on Earth 95% of the movie. - the second and final fighting scene (the first being the "battle" aboard the Achille) is lame. Jaffa just come again and again to die like pawns. Even them deserve more than that! - the end has no consequences. Mitchel fixes the timeline and nobody knows what happened. 1 hour and 38 minutes to tell the spectator "well, nothing actually happened :/" If this plot was used by a standalone movie or if this was a random SG-1 Episode I could have accepted or even enjoyed it. But this was supposed to be SG-1's conclusion! And when you compare it to the first movie Ark of Truth, which was already correct AT BEST, it's an even worse disaster. Again, a huge, HUGE disappointment. As a hardcore SG-1 fan, I'm really disappointed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Audience Member Great movie! Wonderful additional closure to the series! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent! What a brilliant final outing for SG-1. It has everything you could want from a Stargate story; sci-fi, action, adventure, returning characters. It brings the story from 10 seasons of content full circle, closing plotlines and ending on a high. Bravo from a lifelong Stargate fan. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member a movie that seems to mock the fans rather than giving an ending to the show. the movie plot is this: (will explain since non-fans will not understand it) using a error on the artifical wormhole & passage of time manipulation the stargate uses, mixed with a solar flare can make the wormhole do a 180 turn sending the passengers from minutes to milenias into the past or the future. using that a Goa'Uld (god that uses an ancient egypt identity aka they where the deities back when we where mere egyptians) uses that to time travel to the 1930's earth time, stop the stargate program ever beeing made, thus stopping their defeat and creating an alternate time line that in a silly way 2 of the original team + mitchell (newcomer from season 8 new team leader) scapes the time erasing itself by stargate travel. will not spoil the whole movie but this is a time travel story and stargate the show has barely 3 or 4 episodes about it between over 200+ episodes because the time travel can become quite unbecoming for the plot quickly and this is a mess. watch only once if you wanna see how they end the show but there is zero interest to rewatch it.
