Audience Member Iâ(TM)m not sure if Iâ(TM)ve ever seen a movie worse than this, but it manages to be so poorly-made that it becomes an excellent so-bad-itâ(TM)s-good movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review kevin w Sharing the fate of most faith-based film-making, this effort is loaded with sincerity but sorely lacking finesse, which is unfortunate as the story (however hogtied by the intricacies of Judaic law and the racism of the time) is one of the more romantic in the Bible. The main story idea does manage to escape nearly unscathed despite the various and many bad design flaws. Look for veterans Haggerty and Wood to uplift the proceedings simply having 'gleaned' the gentle art of screen acting. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It wasn't the greatest movie out there but I was nice to see the story especially when the old man in the end is King David's grandfather telling him the story of his ancestors. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member If you want to see the film equivalent to a poorly put on Sunday school play then watch this film. It is just awful, in every sense. Terrible acting, terrible costumes and makeup, the movie looks as if it was filmed in Nevada with the nearest high school's props. Do yourself a favor and just watch The Story of Ruth, or better yet read the story in the Bible. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member One of my favorite romance from the Bible. Loved the twist they put on the story being told to a young boy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member great movie! just like the old testament book of Ruth. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
