Tom S I set up an account to review this film. Would give zero if I could. Genuinely awful. It's based on a true story but it's like the director decided that the audience feel empathy towards the killer for from the beginning regardless of the fact it is based on a true story. From the romcom setup at the beginning to the feel good music when he's caught to, arguably the most disjointed, ridiculous ending to any piece of film ever. As an audience we are led down a path of a romantic story between killer and fiance breaking up and him ending his life in a way that he is portrayed as a martyr. We are expected, and encouraged, to forget he killed people (in real life!) Awful storytelling, awful direction. Genuinely made me think this film was made by a close family relative of the killer in question. Don't watch unless you have watched every other film made ever by anyone. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review John B Absolutely Poo, that's 1hr 27 mins of my life I'll never get back. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/05/25 Full Review Roxana F The story is good, but the movie is just not it. I was having the feeling that I am watching a romcom, not a thriller. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Annette B Although the movie does a decent job in telling this story and I wouldn’t call it a waste of time, I feel there was some missed storytelling opportunities. The movie has very little depth, you barely get to know the characters and the build up towards a climax is quite disappointing. The music score is frustratingly simplistic, the acting isn’t bad, but since the storyline feels rushed, no actor really gets a chance to shine. I wouldn’t recommend the movie over and above any other in its genre, it really is just good for filling an hour and a half of boredom. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review angela g was a decent movie but the whole movie it made you feel like they wanted you to feel sorry for the guy but the whole movie i did not feel sorry for him and William Baldwin who played one of the detectives in real life who was investigating the killings was not betrayed real good wasn't a bad movie but i wish they did not do the whole they wanted you to feel sorry for him and the DVD cover was true but he wasn't captured until almost towards the movie but the movie was worth a watch Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Audience Member remind me again, why are we romanticizing a killer?
